As a responsible organisation, Computer Alliance has developed a strong partnership with MRI Queensland (MRI), who have strong bona fides in delivering decommissioning and e-cycling  services. MRI is highly credentialed, innovative and acknowledged as a Queensland leader in the e-cycling arena. Computer Alliance is a responsible corporate citizen that is conscious of its obligations to adopt policies and practices that will reduce our impact on the environment and help foster a future that leads to social and economic improvements in the community we do business. Our sustainability Policy is aimed at reinforcing a culture of environmental awareness and responsibility throughout the entire organisation.

We are focused on enhanced awareness and practice policies that meet or exceed the guidelines enunciated in ISO 14001. Our Sustainability Policy has been implemented to create a culture of continual environmental improvement and to promote increased environmental awareness with out customers and technology partners. We evaluate our IT Suppliers and manufactures’ sustainability policies, initiatives and manufacturing.

The scope of our policy encompasses, but it not limited to the following:

  • Reducing paper usage via digital storage and communication
  • Recycling paper and cardboard
  • Reducing energy usage
  • Reducing water usage
  • Eliminate eWaste
  • Re-use equipment via donation to not-for-profit and community organisation
  • Evaluation of manufactures’ Sustainability practices including:
    • ISO 14001 Certification
    • Sustainability Policy
    • Products’ adherence to IEEE 1680-2009 standards
    • Energy Star certification’s of products
    • Greenhouse gar emissions reduction initiatives
